EXPERIENCE
Consultant in Human Sexuality: Educator,
speaker and writer on a variety of topics, including: safer sex,
AIDS/HIV issues, bisexuality, sexual orientation, sex and
relationships, sex therapy, and sexual diversity.
Surrogate Partner: Trained professional surrogate working
with a variety of clients in sex therapy (in collaboration with
psychotherapists in the Bay Area).
Sexological Bodyworker: Trained somatic sex educator, assisting clients in overcoming sexual difficulties and enhancing enjoyment of their sexuality.
Massage Therapist: Extensive, ongoing experience in
private practice with clients, including athletes, hospital/hospice
patients, elders, pregnant women, and people with AIDS.
HIV Counsellor & Phlebotomist: University of
California, San Francisco AIDS Health Project - Duties include
counselling clients for HIV testing (pre-test and disclosure) and
drawing blood for the lab tests.
Instructor: National Holistic Institute, in Emeryville,
CA. Duties included teaching classes in a broad range of the
curriculum, including Swedish, Esalen, and Shiatsu massage; deep
tissue, polarity energy work, and other bodywork techniques; basic
anatomy and physiology; stress-management and relaxation techniques;
interpersonal and practice management skills.

Sex Educator & Speaker: Guest lecturer
on safer sex, AIDS/HIV issues, sexual diversity, and sexual orientation
at San Francisco State University, University of California, San
Francisco, Sonoma State University, Skyline College, and for other
groups and schools.
Volunteer: For the San Francisco Sex Information
Switchboard, a non-profit educational community service. Duties
include: staffing the phone lines, shift supervision, speakers bureau,
volunteer training (training staff since 4/92).
Massage Volunteer: AIDS Homecare and Hospice, and San
Francisco General Hospital (Ward 5A). Provided massage and gentle touch
services for AIDS patients, under the supervision of Irene Smith.
